  Re: Legend voting

(...) Good analysis. You're prolly right. 375 would have too many compromised in it and doesn't have the curb appeal. We'll see. But as I said on our list, I almost don't care which one wins. I'll be getting multiple copies of the winner in any (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

(...) I voted for Main Street because it rocks. However... I am shamelessly willing to sell the votes of my kids (who also have IDs, and will vote what I tell them to vote for, or no more LEGO for them!) for the appropriate offers. :-) FUT o-t.fun (23 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Prolly not, actually. Your theme is going to divide votes among two candidates while the townies, pirates and spacers all have one clear candidate to vote for. In fact, putting two up may have been an evil plot by Jake and co. to make sure a (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Enhancement request - File dialogs

(...) Before you write one from scratch, try using the file save dialog to do directory selection. It's a common trick. The file save dialog has more features, including a pastein path bar, and you just check what's returned to make sure it's a (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Enhancement request - File dialogs

I think the File dialogs could benefit from some improvement in how path is determined. This applies to at least export model and export submodels (in Multipart mode) Both default to the root of the C drive and don't remember last filepath selected. (...)   "tangenting"

Is there an easy way to rotate by dragging in MLCAD? I have a situation where I want something to be tangent to two things and it's a complex 3 dimensional angle to calculate. I know the endpoints, more or less. What I would like to be able to do is (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Modeling String

(...) Thanks for that and it may come in handy. I am just doing loose string though rather than the kind with the molded studcaps. I subsequently posted a string segment that I ended up using. It's way too long to work as Rosco described (but I (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad)

  String Segment  [DAT]

This is what I am using to model string. It's essentially a twisted 4 sided shape. I probably should have done it using 6 sides instead. I put two of these back to back with the grey pattern matching up, then replicated to get the length needed. LMK (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

see this thread: (URL) is right, it's not at all clear what the right group to FUT to is for BrickShelf(tm) related stuff.
