Re: What is Homecoming? (Re: Somebody help.)

Homecoming is, I think, supposedly for the Alumni! It's supposedly the alumni who come back (come home) to their alma mater and watch the team trounce some hapless opponent and reminisce about good times. At Da Tech homecoming was a Big Deal. It was (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.people)

Re: To sell or to auction, that is the question.

(...) That's a seller option, I believe. I think you can choose 7, I KNOW you can choose 14 or 21. I had been choosing 21 but have now been going with 14. I may go 7 if I can. eBay now allows 10 as well as 7 but there's still the fixed end time (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.market.theory)

I am reading an excellent book called "Rainmaking", and while it is about sales, it makes the point that once you have been quoted as a source by media, you may well get asked again. Only too glad to help. I just went to your page and it loaded at least 20 times faster. Unfortunately, I'm sitting on a T1 instead of dialup, so a lot of that 20X is due to faster connection speed! :-) I'll flush my cache and try again later. But I (...) eBay terminated all of them as well as the empty box, claiming they contained gratuitious comments or opinions.
