FA - More SC items - BOATS!

OK, sports fans, as I promised... it's off to the boat races. Big time boats are here for you... for all of you that missed out on the recent boating action in the "500" auction, here you go. Every one of these is set well below what the same item (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Truck factors (was Re: Instructions on CD ROM?

That would be a good trick. My understanding is that since it's dynamically generated content using a hybrid of HTML and Perl that Todd invented, it would be hard to put on a CD statically and still have the search work. one could, perhaps, write a (...) Ya! I like this. Todd told me offline he's thinking of empowering someone to do some content organization in the /reviews/ part of LUGNET. Bad idea. Due to a snafu (i.e., my long suffering NLSO blew off mailing this box when I was out of town yesterday and today) I still have GB#5, it hasn't actually gone out to Martin yet. (...) What part? I can elaborate if you think it would help. net net is that the LUGNET Pause DB would be hard to put on a CD because it's more than just raw data. The pages you see are made on the fly and you'd lose all that. (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

I'm pushing Todd's hot button on purpose here a bit, but I suspect that even though it's GPL he might not host it because Todd has a bit of NIH, which is what I was referring to vis-a-vis cathedral vs. bazaar. I have to admit that I am disappointed at the volume of bids on the lots I've listed on SC. Given the voracious bidding on the boats in the "500" auction I expected some serious bidding on these. Don't make me list them on eBay! :-) (25 years ago, 18-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)
