Re: "Willing to buy used LEGO" ad around UM

(...) Larry sees all, knows all, says little. (...) Wait, did you actually pay 160 then?? That would be sweet. Where did you get the coupon. I plan to get another RCX but had been holding out for a price less than 200... (26 years ago, 9-Nov-98, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

Re: Mindstorms: Submarine and Turbo Command

(...) Not as much fun perhaps, but a direct switch is fairly common. lu(1) posted a design a while back which I put up on my web pages... I used Mike's pump and lu's switch. 1 - I wish I knew lu's real name but I lost it. shame on me, because I (...) (26 years ago, 9-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) RCX plus sensors would be a minimum purchase and by the time you get to that point you're almost at the cost of the RIK... besides I can always use more parts or sell them off... (26 years ago, 10-Nov-98, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

  Re: Lugnet not accepting mail

(...) How do you figure? I'd say any public posting of your email address is vulnerable to a spam-address-harvester-bot. While it would take some intelligence on the part of a human to point the bot at this news server, there is nothing that would (...) (26 years ago, 10-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Online ordering available

(...) Two comments... 1) 219 is not exactly a discount, which is what I thought TigerDirect was... a discount house... 2) I could not determine easily if shipping was extra or included. If extra it's even worse of a deal since S@H doesn't charge (...) (26 years ago, 10-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

  XOOM downside

Some of us have XOOM sites. Is anyone else that does getting the volume of spam I do? It seems every day I get an offer from them to sell me something. And every day I dutifully follow the instructions to get off that list, but each of the lists has (...) (26 years ago, 11-Nov-98, to lugnet.publish)

Re: What's the deal with 5571 Black Cat Big Rig?

(...) My take on 5561 is good source of parts, but not all that sturdy, the wheels keep falling off. I have 4 or 5, got them mostly for the red and white windows but couldn't resist building one. It's been built for 3 months now which is a while for (...) (26 years ago, 11-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) Thanks for the Tripod flog. However it doesn't address my question, which was "is anyone else getting lots of XOOM spam". Mike answered it: Comes with the territory, I guess. Shoulda known. Not a complaint, nothing is free! (26 years ago, 11-Nov-98, to lugnet.publish)
