  market.auction charter clarification?

There's a thread in off-topic.debate right now, about the propriety of posting a "I have this item too" post to an ongoing auction thread, that was spawned in market.auction... I personally think that at this point it's where it needs to be. There (...) (26 years ago, 6-Mar-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Banner Ads on the CLSotW

Just realised something that may or may not be an issue. The banner ads page (URL) that the banners themselves be kept elsewhere. This is reasonable. Todd can't go hosting a bazillion banners. But, there is a small potential problem. If you have (...) (26 years ago, 6-Mar-99, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: building problems

Good tips. I can't emphasise enough the power of doing design studies. Bits and pieces that you can work from after you're happy. In fact, building, then copying and improving with the other one in front of you, if you have enough pieces, is a GREAT (...) (26 years ago, 6-Mar-99, to lugnet.build)

Whew, you pressed a hot button there. Two points. First, on carryon: Airlines need to make their bins bigger. I am a business traveler. I am often paying 5 and 10 times as much as the leisure traveler because I had to make my arrangements at the (...) (26 years ago, 7-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: 6-wide vehicles

You could argue that the yellow and red/black specialty truck sets (same design, just different color schemes) are 6 wide even if their only have 4 wide windshields. They have wider wheels and footboards, etc. Also, their prototype (if it's a KW or (...) (26 years ago, 7-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Yes, but dirt, wet, straps torn off, scratches, or rips in the material are all "normal wear and tear", so, **essentially**, no. (26 years ago, 7-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Also, it doesn't matter the cause, the point is that they claim that rips THEY cause are part of the luggage "protecting its contents" process and therefore normal. Therefore I (...) (...) I'm with Ben. I'd argue that the total width (of the major parts of the vehicle) is what matters. Look at this MOC: (URL) my slush list 5 page: (URL) windshield width mattters, this is a 4 wide truck. If every element matters, this is a 10 (...) (26 years ago, 8-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)
