I a recent layover in Chicago while taking a train trip I decided to wander the city looking for the Chicago LEGO store. I eventually found the store and had a fun time shopping there.   new catalogue arrival
 
this maybe for Richards sake, moreso than anybody else, but I received the Second Spring Catalogue for 2002. It has the Galidor cover on it, and has the first edition Galidor Items. I wasn't that impressed with that...it ranks below even Jack Stone (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I dunno-- "Duplo" is a brand name that lasted 25 years. Some of today's parents probably remember growing up with it. But "Explore" was only around for 2 years. Hardly as recognizable. let me rant in reaction to yours... (...) I agree with this assessment. I thought there were some good things with with the 2000 line-up. The adventures line, while still degenerating from its heydey in 1998 (Egyptian line), still had some nice (...) (23 years ago, 29-Nov-01, to lugnet.general)
