Re: The Brick Testament: The Full Extent of The Law

(...) Lv 11:3 [turns on Homer S. voice] Mmm, cow! :4 I thought camels had two humps? :5 I like that wall paper, but the wall is kind of clean? Not that level of detail I'm used to. I'm spoiled, I really am! :6 LOL! Love the couch! The 'what you call (...) (21 years ago, 29-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

(...) Hmm. Well, let's pretend for a minute that I haven't had much time to read Lugnet posts for about six months, and let's pretend, just pretend, that I might have missed all the hub-bub that might have led to your recent posts, and let's say (...)   Re: Color Change - Final Update

(...) When BIONICLE accounts for 25% of all LEGO product turnover, investing a little space in special items for that powerful market hardly counts as "squandering" space. It might surprise you to know that the biggest complaint about them is not (...) (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, lugnet.castle)

Re: LEGO Inside Tour (New theory on color change: stock dyes)

(...) Certainly TLG can make old gray if it wanted to. The issue is why did it change the color. Multi-million dollar companies do not make significant changes on a whim and always consider (or should consider) the bottom line. As with most things (...) (...) I don't agree. (Well, it just fits withing my B.K. philosophy.) I've lived overseas most of my life (1).   A few comments on Dumbledore's Tower

Got this at TRU on the buy one get second 50% sale and I think it's ok. What it's lacking in architechtural appeal it makes up for in parts. You put together the bottom section first and this section contained my favorite thing about this set: four (...) (22 years ago, 19-Dec-02, to lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: Help Me......

Good advice on how to get inspiration. I'd also offer that you should try some exercises to stretch your thinking. One good one I like is to grab a random handful of parts (not too many, not all the same, not ones you picked out, just random) and (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Escape from Privet Drive

(...) I got one from Argos too. I'm afraid you're wrong about the blue - it's Life-on-Mars light blue. If you sit it next to some Maersk blue from Legoland you can see the difference. Maersk blue is more cyanic and a little duller. The car looks (...) (22 years ago, 21-Sep-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: 6085 Black Monarch's Castle compared with 6080 King's Castle

IMHO 6080 is the better of the two sets. Here are my reasons. 6080 is built on a larger baseplate. The two plates in the back of the 6085 are 16x16 while those of 6080 are 16x24 I believe. The castles cover the same area but 6080 has more plate in (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jan-02, to lugnet.reviews)
