| | Re: Replacement RCX Cost?
| Rob's suggestion of calling the LEGO Outlets is the best bet. The Dawsonville, Georgia store has a bunch of the 9709, which is the 1.0 RCX (external jack version) brick only. Last time I picked some up they were around $60. jt (...) (22 years ago, 18-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)

| | Re: Lego Train Operating Weekend
| Hi fellas, So, anything further on this by any chance? Of particular interest at the moment would be just how much gear you had on hand.. boosters, throttles, jack panels, that sort of thing. Specifically how much boosted power was available? Also, (...) (21 years ago, 10-Apr-03, to lugnet.trains)

| (...) Sponge Bob Square Pegs, I believe will be part of the LEGO 4+ line. In other words replacing the Pirates 4+ line. The minifig size or style will be like the Jack store/Pirates 4+, with new parts but no new colors. If there are gonna be new (...) (19 years ago, 27-Oct-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

| | Re: Need Decision Help - Buy RIS 1.5 now or 2.0 later
| (...) Strictly speaking, there is a difference, physically, between the 1.0 and the 1.5 or 2.0 RCX (I have a 1.0 and a 2.0). The 1.0 has an external power jack. This doesn't effect the physical characteristics of the RCX as far as where and how you (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics)

| | Re: Sorting
| All the RCX's say 1.0, even the 1.5's. (This is a bit odd, as internally the circuit boards are _not_ the same, and the 1.0 has an AC adapter jack.) Primary sorting is easiest with the Lego boxes themselves (at least for the RIS's). To supplement (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| | Re: What to purchase first?
| I think your best bet is to get a Robotics Invention System ver. 1.0. It has a good selection of parts and the RCX has an AC jack. Start there, then get some of the other stuff. Build On! John Matthews Scott Costello <scottcos@spamfree.aol.com> (...) (25 years ago, 4-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics)
