 | | Running Leocad under linux (Ubuntu 8.10 32-bit)
|
| For anyone interested, I will hereby share my experiences with Leocad under Linux (Ubuntu 8.10 32-bit) I write this because I stumbled across some issues which might be related to LeoCad itself or just my complete lack of experience. This being said (...) (17 years ago, 14-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad.leocad, FTX)

I used to think that when I took something apart that's been together for a long time, the pieces that were attached felt bad 'cause they're not 'hangin' with their friends', and that, maybe at some future time, the pieces would be put (...) | | Re: Technicopedia Update
|
| (...) Nice! One minor 'complaint' though: IMO, the 360 animations are rotating too fast, so it's difficult to really see any details. The super thing would be to have a controllable 360 rotation, so I could stop at any angle and look closer. I don't (...) (17 years ago, 13-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic)

 | | Re: Colinear Vertices
|
| (...) triangle has had its surface normal pulled down. So the triangle isn't co-planar with the quad as far as the lighting is concerned. With curve smoothing, all polygons who share a smoothed vertex use a common surface normal for that vertex. But (...) (17 years ago, 13-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

| (...) No, I just take the cross product, and if the length (squared) is 0, I give an error. I don't see how normalizing the length of the two vectors that I feed into the cross product would improve things much here. Sure, it might mean that my (...) (17 years ago, 9-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad)

 | | Accessing the Shop @ Home Phone Specials.
|
| We often take for granted that everyone is aware of the process for accessing the LEGO Shop @ Home Specials. Today I got an e-mail from a LUGNET user that indicated they often read the S@H listing, but had no idea how to place an order. I have over (...) (17 years ago, 12-Dec-08, to lugnet.market.shopping)

| Tobbe, This is a nice looking model, especially with all the functions. As to more traction, you could use alternating regular chain links and tread links and mount a 1x4 plate on each tread link, studs out. I'm not sure how realistic this would (...) | The absence of monorail parts for the Ldraw and MLCad library has become intolerable. The short and long straight, the station stop, and the curve tracks have been pretty well blocked out. The switch pieces are under construction. The stub pieces (...) (25 years ago, 5-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)
