  West End TRU

I went to the West End TRU last night. Only a few things of note. First, the UFO large ship (Interstellar Starfighter?) was on deep discount for $27.99. They had two left. Ironically, with 280 some pieces, this is right around $.10 per piece. The (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.va.ric)

1593 box photos! (was: Re: you guys noticed this auction? - Wow!)

(...) It's that rare, ya! I could see it going to $2000 or more if someone had pockets that deep. Just the instructions alone are incredibly rare, and the box is...well, we've never even seen a box before. Scans and color photocopies of the (...)   Re: When is a Slope not a Roof Tile? (WAS: we want....a shrubbery)

(...) Ummm... The 2xN slopes are 45 degrees. In LDraw measures, the sloped surface is 20LDU deep x 20LDU high. Of course, the 4LDU lip at the bottom of the part throws off the overall slope when you build with these pieces. The sloped surface on the (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.build)

I believe this to be an excellent use of Lego. Disturbing, yes, but excellently done. The models seem to be very good, it gave me a deep feeling of sorrow and pain.
