Re: turtle coding kit (Re: How would we (the rest of us) communicate ideas to the MDP?)

(...) The question is just how much of this is handled at what level within the NXT firmware & software. I'd be surprised if LEGO doesn't do *something* with the built-in encoders - after all, *they* put them there. the question is how much. The (...) (19 years ago, 22-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

turtle coding kit (Re: How would we (the rest of us) communicate ideas to the MDP?)

(...) I'll chime in here (I lurk way too much): Given the choice, I'd like to see included in NXT a software module for coding dead-reckoning navigation for turtle-type robots, kind of like here: (URL) since the NXT motors have built-in encoders, (...)   It's awfully quiet in here

This is kind of eerie. The final days of the MDP selection process has turned the robotics board into a ghost town. I expect a flurry of activity as soon as everybody has officially learned their results. One other possibility is that there are lots (...) (19 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: rtl21 ideas

(...) How about stationary bots that you would "give" real cards to? i.e feed them into a slot when they request a hit and have them scan the pips. might need a standard card deck though.   Studless hopper design #2.

(URL) pics of my latest studless hopper design. A big improvement on the old design, although there is still a lot of oddities encountered trying to piece it together. I don't see a logical, rational reason for such collecting/hoarding etc. That would probably be why you and I are not "collectors". I've only bought (...)
