It has given me an idea for my ball contraption - a ball counter!

I also want to make a difference engine. I will be taking other stuff apart as
well as buying new parts for this.

Modularity allowed him to refine his design, but assuming his design works well,
the next step should be to reduce the modularity to reduce cost and size.

My plan is to make one of his blocks, then figure out how to reduce the
modularity, probably to a three digit section. Then people can each make one and
bring them together to make a larger unit.

Given the LEGO difference engine, how far away is the LEGO analytical engine?
