Re: Need help to guesstimate the size of my collection!

(...) I would also guess between 100,00 and 150,000 pieces based on the volume of your collection compared to mine. I have a fairly accurate count using the Lugnet DB. Do you know how many sets you have? You might be able to use that to guess along (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: how does a line ends?

(...) I timed the file reading/parsing portion of the model load. It would have been more difficult to time the actual amount of time spent inside fgets/myFgets, so realistically it's likely that myFgets is even slower in comparison to fgets. The (...)   Sample Sensor readings for Drag Racing Competition

There's only a month until the Drag Racing competition at BricksWest, so rather than leave it to a last minute rush, why not start building your robot now? If you are considering attending, please send me a note so I can plan the event better. (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.events.brickswest, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: It's perfect!

(...) Well, if this is indeed the case, then we should ask LEGO to give us a more accurate Special Edition AT-ST that has the correct working knee joints and such. Also, making octagonal pieces like in the side cannons in the picture that you posted (...) (22 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: does anyone has information about this WDR panel?

(...) Hi Gary, thanks for pointing me to that thread! There are indeed interensting news about this set these weeks...   Re: Pile Proponents

(...) There is some wisdom to this. I can see it. I too used to derive quite a bit of inspiration from "random finds" while sifting through piles of pieces in search of something else. I find though, that larger projects, and particularly robots, (...) (22 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.storage)

  Re: Need Electrical Help

(...) Hey Rob, It would be safer to place a regular doide in series with this if the voltage is going to be reversed some of the time. But the circuit shown in the link handles reverse voltage up to 9v fine. The LED acts as a reverse protection (...) (16 years ago, 24-Oct-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Need Electrical Help

(...) If the voltage is going to vary, don't use a resistor as current source, consider a current regulator instead. That way the LED stays brightly lit over a wide voltage range without getting burned out at max voltage. This works for one or more (...) (16 years ago, 24-Oct-08, to lugnet.trains)

For the DIYers out there: (URL) LED Resistor Calculator> For quick results without having to think: You can run 1 (2.1v) LED from 9v if you hook up a 390 ohm (1/4 watt) resistor between one lead of the LED and the power source.
