Thanks for your help :-D Just so I'm clear, ref pink book page 10-17. Does the "bit_set( 0x1021, 1 );" refer to bit 0 -EDG3B, and bit_clear( 0x1021, 2 ); " refer to bit 1 -EDG3A. This is what was throwing me, I always thought bits started at zero (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Is 8479 Barcode Multi Set worth buying?
 
I've read mixed reviews about 8479 Barcode Set, but I can't help but be fascinated by the mechanism that lifts objects over the cab of the truck into the back. Is it a worthwhile investment? What I'd ultimately like to build is a garbage truck - (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.technic)

I was at my local TRU (Cary, NC) this morning and noticed that they have two of the Pirates re-releases. They have the 6921 ((URL) and 6290 ((URL) It is interesting to note that the set names on the boxes differ from the originals (and the LUGNET) (...) Does anyone know of a Technic set (besides 8857) that includes 81.6x15 Technic tires and Technic chain links (part 3711). They are in a box of assorted used parts I bought and I'm having trouble finding what set they are from. (24 years ago, 19-Apr-00, to lugnet.general)

Hey, that set looks like it has alot of inverted black roof pieces. I never noticed those in the S@H brochure. In the brochure it looks like it is flat. Are those 2x2 and 1x2 inverted black slopes? You are right, it looks like there are alot of (...) (24 years ago, 12-Apr-00, to lugnet.trains)
