Re: The effects of Bulk Sales are evident....

Warning, a bit rambly post on the theory of realistic building scenes. (...) They (the MichLUG buildings) were stunning buildings but I think they suffered from not being close enough together. Anything 5 stories or more ought to be cheek to jowl (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains.org)

  MOC: C4X Glimmerwing Fast Transport

The Glimmerwing is a fast transport cargo ship with a 1 man crew. Designed for hauling moderate amounts of freight quickly, it has oversized engines and roughly 60% of the ship (by fuselage volume, not including engines) is cargo space. (...) (...) Wow, those are big trees. They rock. Subway: Nice start but... needs more people! (wait, that's J1's line) That guy in the green wizard hat, that's Dan Jezek counting his money after selling you a few key bricks, right? :-) (on the Hawaiian (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

(...) We have a minifig in a white tuxedo shout out, "De Rail, De Rail!!" ;-) Actually, the red window panels in front are removable, and the track runs exposed on the back side. In the corners might get interesting, though... -John (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Supertrain Success

The mountain was incredible (coming from someone who spent a few hours working on a couple GMLTC-like modules, and then sorting and stacking bricks for others to use to continue after me... ;-) It was also very cool to see my models on display!   Re: the first few pictures of the new GMLTC layout

(...) As J-2 said, the windows in front lift up, and we also build in 'access panels' at key spots around the layout. We're planning on running the subway trains using RCX power, at a very low power level - so we don't think there will be any (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: the first few pictures of the new GMLTC layout

(...) Actually, it looks brighter in person. The camera's exposure meter was fooled by the bright light coming down the stairway. (The stairs will open up inside the train station on the surface.) We've debated the subway lighting. We decided we (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 'Dog Bone'

(...) I'm working on that very thing for the new GMLTC layout. I've got it pieced together (no pun intended!) in my head, it's just a matter of programming the RCX and give it a whirl. If I'm thinking of everything correctly, it's a simpler solution (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

  PNLTC Portland GATs event! Wow!

This latest round of club train shows is very impressive. From Supertrain2001 to the alt history of GMLTC to PNLTC's PDX GATs event. My web-browser is exhausted!
