Re: LEGO trains...The Future of Model Railroading?

I'm going to toss in a few more pennies out of my pocket, I am not a lego purist. I cut up lego to get it to fit. I use RS switches, and Tech 2 powerpacks. I use PVC pipe for Pnumatics. I have a battery box that has had major sugery done to it to (...) (25 years ago, 24-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Actually, you are not quite there. The train modules I and the GMLTC build are 144 x 96 x 20 1/3 each and adding a single brick to the top beats yours. Also, several modules are joined together for "one model" of a landscape. For example, (...) (25 years ago, 29-Nov-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.trains)

That's my vote too. There just is NOTHING to grip. and if you are not careful you can bend or break the antenna or the housing, it's a pretty fragile part.   BIP Contest: Reloaded....again

(...) I'm betting 2finger/3finger 1x2 plate hinges. One cross brace seems in front of the other. The way I did the GMLTC coaling station uses those bracing rods (in red in the newer shuttle pad) for this. (25 years ago, 4-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

That would be Conan (don't know his last name, but Larry P. does). He has 2.3 million. He is a member of GMLTC, but doesn't participate in LUGNET. But his collection is of rather recent vintage, if memory serves me correctly. In the number 2 spot (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
