(...) Laurent -- just to be clear -- your problem is that you can't bootstrap your board from a G3 Mac, but after you do get it booted, everything's OK? Fred (27 years ago, 20-Feb-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Dear Fred: I have not received any messages from [handyboard] since May5, (exactly the date when my credit card was charged $100 for the professional copy of IC3.1). Good questions!! (...) The polaroid number/widely quoted number is 0.9 MILLISECONDS PER FOOT -- or 1.11 ft/ms. hence the conversion matches! I think also I have this wrong on my HB sonar page!   Handy Board Weight

HBDL still not working with win95...

  Re: Polaroid sonar connector

In the Polaroid manual, the connector is referred to as a "Burndy 9 pin connector SLP9S-2". I once spoke to someone at Polaroid who gave me the cross reference "JST 1B0579A" (don't know if it's Burndy or not). I am pretty sure the cable is standard (...) 1. please read the Appendix B documentation in (URL) explains this in more detail than the FAQ. 2. you must the even-numbered Yx signals for output latches. Hi Fred: The Mini SSC does have a TTL-mode, but it needs inverted data i/o mode. this actually should be fine. the characteristic of nicads is to have a fairly level output voltage as they discharge, and then drop off sharply when the power's all gone. so it should be no problem. fred (27 years ago, 29-Mar-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
