  Minifig Scale Motorcycle-Repost

Hey legohaulics! The previous post was screwed up, so I'm reposting. Here is one of my recent MOCs, a bike scaled to minifigs. It does seat a minifig, and has a decent amount of chrome and SNOT. (URL) is the MOCpage.  Enjoy, and please post (...) (20 years ago, 12-Apr-05, to lugnet.announce.moc)

(...) I would guess that it isn't the AFOL's that would disparage the "doll house" comparison, but I bet the 8-10 year old boys might have a problem with it. (...) Those lucky enough to live near a pick-a-brick location know that 1x4x3's aren't that (...) (19 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.general)

The Minifig Macro - walk that minifig

(URL) uses Anton Raves' POV-Ray library. You can create many minifigs with it, and best yet, you can walk them. Option one is to walk it in a straight line--boring. Option two, walk it on a spline. Very cool! There is an animation of a minifig (...) (20 years ago, 1-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.animation, lugnet.announce)

Re: Lego Buildings with 4 Walls

4 walls was done before, see US set 560 or it's european 376 version. As for abandoning the minifig, that's the reason kids like town, it allows them to recreate things in everyday life. It's such a strong part of the brand recognition I very much (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.general)

Thanks Jake! This is a great looking set, especially needed for a Monday. And this, after finding out there is now a discount on bulk track purchases in one of the online catalogs!   Re: New MOC: Neue Prussian Destroyer

(...) That's got a lovely design aesthetic, though I'm not sure about the "teeth" details--they break up the sleek black feel of the prow. The engine detail is lovely, and are a great use of those new ball-joint sockets. So how big is this (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Lego Buildings with 4 Walls

I was looking at the #4886 Designers set in the Lugnet set database yesterday. And there were a few things that troubled me about it. Not the design per se, but just the whole concept of going from a "minifig" environment (3 walls, juniorized parts, (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.general)

(...) If the ultimate goal is a shared display are we assuming minifig scale? Or are microfig (and other) scale asteroids welcome in the contest as well? Cheers Tim (19 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)
