Anyone for a Celebration of Classic Space at Brickfest?

Hiya, there's a good chance I'll get to attend my first fest this summer (yay). I dunno what has really been done towards pumping up space at the fests or if special rooms have existed for it... So how about this, a room dedicated to Space, Classic (...) (23 years ago, 2-Mar-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space)

  creator line

It would be cool for lego to put out a creator style space set; This could accomplish 5 things: 1) as a creator series set(s) it wouldn't necessarily directly compete with the current Star Wars line (they did Mars sets-why not?) 2) it would be a (...)   Re: what makes a legend?

In regards to your question, I feel certain changes such as wheels and stickers are totally accaptable, as long as the reason for the change is explained before hand. The only changes I would be against are changes in the colour of pieces (I (...) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: Bring back the old

(...) I think it's more that they don't want to invest in a new mold--which has been fairly well established as being a lengthy and costly process-- for a relatively limited-circulation (yes, limited!) item. But as far as I know it's the only part (...) (23 years ago, 27-Mar-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Classic castle layout a big party hit

My daughter's 8th birthday party was this weekend, so we put in some extra hours to get our collection of classic castle sets laid out nicely. It turned out to be a big hit with all six 7-9 yr old girls: (URL) More playing action: (URL) brickshelf> (...) (20 years ago, 1-Mar-05, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Color Change - Final Update

Hi Jake, I just want to add my comments on offerings for castle fans Since the color decisions seem to be final, I think that the best option is to ease this transition into the new colors. Castle builders will need basic bricks, wall pieces, (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego, lugnet.castle)

  Great New Ideas For Town

I've read over my "Missing Town" post and I got some ideas for what LEGO could do with Town. We all remember the great days of 1996... Well, how about utilize it today? Town Junior/City Center just didn't cut it. I would like to hark back to Lego (...) (23 years ago, 24-Mar-02, to lugnet.town)

I guess I am not really a big star wars collector... the only real starwars sets I got (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-02, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) I almost died in my chair! I have understood that both the SW and HP lines have been very good for TLC, so I guess there is no arguing with success. I just don't see why a licensed toy has to entirely replace an existing theme line -- I really (...) (22 years ago, 27-Aug-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: 1592 - the story continues

The new Egypt variation is great, as is the New York City one that went up after that. My favorite detail in the Egypt one is the statue that has become some Egyptian god. I've also got to make that chariot some day. It's such a simple yet nice (...) (22 years ago, 27-Jul-02, to lugnet.town)

  Re: The Nazgul

(...) On a large enough scale it should be possible to make all-plate wings that can actually fold up, but the structure required to do so probably wouldn't be able to support the weight. Complete 100% agreement here with all of your points. It almost seems to be a reflection on the general state of LEGO product. The "new" stuff is good, but the "old" was far superior! The old Lugnet format was easier and more fun to reply to, the (...) (23 years ago, 5-Nov-01, to lugnet.general)
