Re: 9V Train Motor Being Discontinued?

(...) Dear Rafe, thanks for your story here. It was more worth than just 2 cent for me! I only hope some people at LEGO see, that metal track trains attract lots of people and that these often enough end with a 100.000 ++ collection of bricks. And (...) (19 years ago, 4-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: One good message (kind of) from LEGO at last... (April Fool's Day)

(...) Yes Mark, on April the first I wanted to post about an IR-reciever in form of a "4x4 block, 2 plates high plus the 2x2 bulb on top". That is correct. And of course it was April Fool's Day (so maybe LUGNET was not working properly). ;-) Ben (19 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Hi Rosco, Todd must have implemented a tool which deletes all "0." in messages coming from me on April Fools Day. Of course I meant to have typed "0.66". But nevertheless: you got me. And I admit this wasn't my best April Fools Joke. It is (...) (19 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

One good message (kind of) from LEGO at last...

Hi Train Fans! Some may have heard about the AFOL group which co-worked with LEGO on Mindstorms-NXT (at least as a kind of feedback group). Then there is the group of Ambassadors and who will wonder: there is a group of train fans organised to give (...) (19 years ago, 1-Apr-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10027 is now sold in blay.... :-(

(...) Hi Dustin, no - we asked for the changes and got the answer for the sets I quoted. Therefore I expected the 10020 and 10027 to remain in old SYSTEM gray. And I was shocked to find out I had to dump 75 Eur into the trashcan (or at least half of (...) (19 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.color)

(...) Dear Matt, I have to agree with your first sentence 100%. I myself would not have dared to type such an explicit expression here in an American newsgroup, but this is exactely what I still feel about blay... On the other hand: I do actually (...) (19 years ago, 26-Mar-06, to lugnet.color)

Re: Using generic IR ports for RCX 1.5

(...) IrDA works quite differently from what the RCX is capable of understanding normally under usual firmware. I don't think that you can change the dongle reactions, since on the physical layer it will work according to the IrDA specifications. (...) (16 years ago, 7-Feb-09, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Hi Tim, maybe it is good. But I hated to find out I had spent 75 Eur (=90$US) on a nearly useless set. LEGO should have changed the ©2003 to ©2006 or maybe they could have added a 2cent sticker on the box like "Contains new cool colors!". A (...) (19 years ago, 21-Mar-06, to lugnet.color)
