Re: when they say "fresh" batteries, they mean it!

(...) Actually it is common practice these days to power small peripherals off of the supply voltage pins on RS-232 ports as long as you're not trying to pull tooooo much juice. And even a device with a 9-volt power supply can produce higher (...) (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  In-set catalogues this year

How many different in-set catalogues are there in UK sets this year? At the start of 1999, the new sets (Space Port, Adventurers) came with the 1998 in-set catalogue. 1. The Ep4-6 Star Wars came with a folded 2xA4 flyer with pilot Luke on the front. (...) (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: TRU Kudos!

Mookie, Sorry, I thought it was you, not John. I did not read it properly. It has been a confusing day for me, my brain is dead. I have been fighting with a Novell TCP/IP -HP JetAdmin printer error all day, and I had to get back onto the project I (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

RE: Alternate IR Tower power source

(...) Yikes! I did a similar thing. I took a 9v wallwart and used a 9V snap connector from a dead IR remote - the IR led is being used in a secret project... Anyways, the snap connector can be "pressed" against the terminals in the tower using a bit (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Universal Color List...finally

(...) Hi Rosco, I am not asked, but I did and felt upset about these nearly as much as if they were blayish. Because these are rubbish of lowest quality.   Hook Coupling 737c01.dat and 444.dat train wheel.

Hi all, to draw a model, which I own for over 5 years, I have now done CAD files for the 60ies hook coupling and the 60ies 4.5 train waggon wheel with riffles. Now at last I was able to render the "Esso promotional set 121". The result can be seen (...) (20 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.trains)

I'm pushing Todd's hot button on purpose here a bit, but I suspect that even though it's GPL he might not host it because Todd has a bit of NIH, which is what I was referring to vis-a-vis cathedral vs. bazaar.
