| | Re: new newsgroup for NXT
|
| (...) Lugnet in the past, IIRC, has created new newsgroups as soon as it was clear that there was a separate category, rather than waiting till close to or even after release. Thus, if I'm remembering correctly, there's precedent. (19 years ago, 7-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

| (...) Reminds me of the time I grew tired of a challenge in Final Fantasy X and built a RCX based device to clear it. I didn't have a webcam though, but a TV tuner board worked just fine to receive the video output. Like this one, however, the logic (...) (19 years ago, 8-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

That could have something to do with the fact that the x86 architecture is extremely low on registers, pretty much all of which have special functions (CX for counting, BX for addressing, AX:DX for multiplications, SI+DI for memory copying). | (...) Well, there's a significant cost above and beyond the electronics here. The NXT *might* be comparable to a PDA, but tossing in 500+ precision-molded little plastic parts probably drives the cost up considerably (heck, just from buying sets I (...) Ultimately, I think all the robots should function within the tightest spec possible, which is why I (...) (19 years ago, 9-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)
