Just as I was about to give up, inspirado kicked in.
Clikits string! Wrapped twice round the front stud and secured somehow at the
back of the model. I tried it and was amazed to find it actually worked.

Very cool; I wonder if a small technic blue/yellow rubber band attached with a
figure 8 twist, OR a technic cuttable soft flexible pneumatic tube affixed
with friction between other pieces would work. Does using a 1x1 round plate
make the head too tall or interfere with other bricks or movement or did you
just want to try something different? Your cool inspiration just kicked in on
me & I just thought about using a 1x1 round clear plate vizor with a 1x1x2/3
slope chin. maybe its been done b4 but i just thought of it. Anyways, great
work & great inspiration!

| (...) Using a rubber band is a really good idea, which I may have to borrow from you, Jeff. There is some slackness in the string, and it needs to be pulled back against the curve of the face every so often. I'm confident I can 'train' the string (...) | Last night I had a breakthrough with mini robot head design. I was trying variations of the basic MegaTurtle (URL) and Nova (URL) head design. And I came up with this: (URL) I thought the reversed Grevious head looked pretty cool...but it needed an (...) (19 years ago, 7-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
