The End of 9 Volt? (was: Re: Train motors half price via S@H weekly special)

(...) Hmmm. That is an interesting scenario. I'm just sitting here thinking what I would do in that event. I always sort of pitied the folks who still decided to run the old 12 volt trains. It just seemed so doomed; when stuff broke down, that was (...) (19 years ago, 3-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Train motors half price via S@H weekly special

OK so I called again to get the skinny on the train motor "blowout"... As it turns out they simply renumbered the product, as Rafe referred to in his post, and in order to remove the old SKU from their system they had to sell thru them. She assured (...) (...) Always good to read from a "stud" like you ;-) (...) Ya know, that's what I thought too (note I said thought). For so long, talking years, I had this idea I would need LOADS of bricks to build those abutements. Then, it hit me "What about (...) (19 years ago, 18-Feb-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Two Usb towers

(...) That's a perfectly reasonable suggestion. The reason I haven't done that (although I did consider it) is because I leave my robot running for quite a while and it uses the tower almost constantly, so it burns through batteries quite quickly. (...) Excellent! I always look forward to your Bridge Studies. Ha ha, Lego joke, "Studies". Wow, those end abutements are awesome! Yikes that's tons of bricks!   BrickQuest (Adv) at BrickFest 2005

Hello Castlers who might attend BrickFest. I'll be running a BrickQuest game.   Re: Swan firmware crash!

(...) This is the old-style Swan API which is deprecated. The Swan API built into NQC uses MotorPower128(n) and SetMotorPower128(n, m). With the latest version of NQC you no longer need to include the old swan.nqh header file. The old swan.nqh file (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

I've been reading this thread, and suddenly I'm having flashbacks of a time, I would have been in my late teens, where I too would sneak around the toy section, hoping no one would see me there.
