Excellent!

I always look forward to your Bridge Studies.

Ha ha, Lego joke, “Studies”.

Always good to read from a “stud” like you ;-)

Wow, those end abutements are awesome! Yikes that’s tons of bricks!

Ya know, that’s what I thought too (note I said thought). For so long, talking years, I had this idea I would need LOADS of bricks to build those abutements. Then, it hit me “What about using Duplo instead of LEGO?” A quick search and I discovered I could get used Duplo 2x2 for about a nickle each and could buy them buy them by the 100s. So, I bought about 400 green 2x2s (TEASER: that green inside will be moving outside) and combined them with 8x8s and 8x16s bricks to give me both the height and a ledge for the slopes. The 8x8s, 8x16s and a few other sizes were made into a “U” shape. The end result being a hollow but strong abutement.

I gotta say if there is one piece I would just love to see in the bleys, it would be the 2x2x3 corner slope. Heck, they already have the regular 2x2x3 slopes in bleys (and cost less than greys).

The roadway is slick as always, and I like the light lamps.

Wow. I like the rest of the folder as well. (always have!)

Thanks so much for sharring these.

Thanks

I admit I want to photoshop one of my robots standing next to the roadway like it is going to walk through it Godzilla style.

I would be honored if you would. I take all my pics in uncompressed tiff (12.5 MB each). Send me an email of which ones you would like.
