  New Dinosaurs

(...) Actually we should love those new Raptors and the Pteranodon. I, too, think that they don't look as "cool" as the Spinosaur, but I think it's a great approach of TLC not to make more SPUDs, but add some smaller special parts and build up the (...)   Re: ACME Industries Factory

Thank you for the input. I have addressed each of your comments below: (...) I agree. I can either replace the white windows with 2x2 trans-black panels (but my Penobscot Building had been using all of those up) or I can use more 1x2 clear bricks; (...)   Re: Technic Tank Treads/Coveyer belt!

(...) I did. For a partly horizontal / partly low sloped section that I used to transport the goods away from unther the track and out of the dumping bin, I've made a kind of track from pairs of the old 4,5V/12V rails with a 2 studs wide gap between (...)   Re: Bulk Pricing (Interesting comparison?)

(...) Just to say it, that is the approximate price I have paid during the last year for both MISB copies of that set. If it used to go for $200, well I guess the price has dropped. Frankly, I wouldn't pay a lot more than I have on these sets. You (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: 3149* variations

(...) This was a unilateral admin decision to maintain backward compatibility. We already have 3149a.dat, 3149b.dat and 3149c.dat in the official library, but used in a way that is contrary to the current practice. Nowadays we try to use different (...)   Re: ACME Industries Factory

(...) Very nice. Like everyone else, I like the block glass effect of the 1x2 windows. The chimney... did you try building it with those 2x4x5 semicircle bricks? Just a thought. By the way, I like the way some of the lights on the sign look brightly (...) (18 years ago, 13-Mar-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

Site Refresh - New features added - NXT, RCX, 3rd party sensors...

Got bored with my old site design and decided to redo it... Some things of interest: :: added new pics and info of mods I did to DomoinoBotNXT - it now uses 4 motors using the Mindsensors MotorMux MultiPlexer and NXT. I also programmed it in RobotC (...)   Re: Who Does Lego Like the Most?

(...) Yes, I think the Ambassador program is aimed at AFOLs. And what is wrong with that? For years, we complained TLC never knew about, cared about, or listened to AFOLs. Now they put in place a means to listen (which hints at the knowing and (...) (18 years ago, 14-Mar-07, to lugnet.ambassadors)

Given the dearth of comments so far I thought I'd add my voice to the appreciative few.
