Re: Oldest Lego Parts of 1949-57

(...) Hello Henrik, Sorry but the Ebay auction item (originating from Aarhus, Denmark) is gone I believe.   Re: The History of LEGO Plates - Part 1.

(...) Eric, (There are no ignorant questions!!) Most people are unaware of the Architectural Sets, which were produced from 1963-65. They are not as exciting as they sound. The sets consist only of plates and bricks - no windows or doors (clear (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

Art Deco (Moderne) buildings using log bricks.

I've been playing with some of those log bricks lately (mostly tan or white), and when you stack them up, they give a nice "Art Deco" appearance that a lot of old buildings in the 1920's and 1930's have - sort of a "Terra Cotta" sculptured look that (...)   Re: appeals mainly to adults

(...) Well said Eric! I agree, Todd deserves a lot of credit. I also liked your point about how society looks upon a 30 year old playing with toys. Boy did that bring back memories. I left my dark ages in 1979 (at age 26) and was thrown into the (...) (25 years ago, 13-Jul-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.general)

  Re: Eeeek! New Milk Float!

I've noticed alot of my old (relatively old...late 70's early 80's) 1x1 bricks are splitting. Maybe the bricks have been redesigned to fix this problem. The other thing I have noticed is that the bricks are constantly being redesigned. Hollow tubes (...) (25 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)
