  Lego Expo at the Toy Connection (Crystal Lake, IL)
 
The Lego expo at the Toy Connection Saturday was a great success! I went with Brandon Grifford (Zacktron co-creator) and took about an hour, hour and a half trip to get there [1]. I just got a LEGO package yesterday from a seller in Germany. And among them were about 50 old macaroni bricks in different colors. Jake- Very good news! Thanks. Light and dark grays are our favorite colors for making large real-world models. Here is what would keep us building for a long time to come in dark gray: 1x1 bricks 1x2 bricks 1x3 bricks 1x4 bricks 1x6 bricks 1x8 (...) I'm interested in dating and finding the source of several preprinted 1x6 and 1x8 white bricks I got as part of a second hand assortment in 1973. The bricks are "CAFE" printed in blue on a 1 x 6 "HOTEL" printed in black on a 1 x 6 "DEALER" printed (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.general)

Hi folks, I just posted over 100 rare and interesting old LEGO bricks from 1949-56 era. These include items as cheap as 25 cents, going up to $12 for the very rare 2x14 bricks, sold only from 1954-56. These were retired in 1956, and were never used (...) Recently I came across some old LEGO bricks that I never even knew existed (the 4 types of "macaroni" bricks). Now there may be another, but I don't have more than a diagram on a box.
