Re: Improving the adult image of LEGO

(...) TLC is still trying to come to grips with the fact that we _do_ still collect. You'd think it would be a no-brainer. I mean, here's a company that leaves bowls of bricks out on their conference tables that you are _encouraged_ to play with (...) (16 years ago, 15-Sep-08, to lugnet.general)

Re: Improving the adult image of LEGO

(...) I think it may have a lot to do with your own feelings towards others. As I read your post, I'm not sure of the tonal inflection of the person saying "you still play with LEGO?"--is the inflection one of disgust, or one of excitement? That in (...)   Re: Improving the adult image of LEGO

(...) I'm not sure that's really a fair assessment-- or, rather, the tone implies that everyone else at Lego was clueless until Jake showed them how it's done. But that's not really the case. I think it was more true that certain groups within the (...) (16 years ago, 15-Sep-08, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Her first Technic model

Hi Maarten, having a daughter at exactly the same age, I can only congratulate your daughter to have mastered this truly amazing set. My kids' technic affinity is somewhat limited, so I figure my son will be the first to actually ask - and he's only (...) (17 years ago, 11-Jan-08, to lugnet.people, FTX)

  Her first Technic model

Hi all, During the past two years my second daughter has been asking me (begging actually...) repeatedly when I would finally give her permission to let her build one of my sets. You see, the children have never played with my lego; they have their (...) (17 years ago, 11-Jan-08, to lugnet.people, FTX) !

TLC declares Bankruptcy! (Kristiansen's unfurl golden parachute...)

Every time I take down my rabid Angriest Lego Collector in the World page I find new reasons to regret that decision. (...) Perhaps I didn't explain that as well as I thought. I was just talking about controlling a single PF motor using a single NXT output port. The requires, currently, *two* different conversion cables: one that will connect into an NXT output (...) (17 years ago, 7-Jan-08, to lugnet.technic)

Hi all, as pre-dark-age Technic fan in 2007 I had to buy all the new Technic models. I am very impressed by every set, beginning with the little crane, the blue truck and last but not least the dozer. The linear actuator for me seems to be a nice (...)
