(...) Toothbrushes can leave noticeable scratches on the surface of like-new bricks. "Static dusters" (as seen on TV! Hello, Canned Air works good if not let go to many years. This prevents damage or having to tear model down for cleaning. As for yellowing on the bricks Try using a UV blocking cream/oil to protect surface from UV rays. Hope this helps. Also I am (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

Some of you (ok, all of you) may be familiar with the 4679 set, the bulk tub with the random 500 elements. Or its DUPLO brother, 4296. I know this isn't the greatest place to post this however, I see more feedback from people here then in any of the other places within these Newsgroups. I've been pondering ways to properly bring back that wonderful (new) out of the wrapper shine on (...) (24 years ago, 4-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)

I know what you mean about squeaky - I recently bought an older set on eBay, and the bricks felt odd - they gripped a bit more tightly than most, and seemed almost too clean - and sure enough they squeaked as they went together and (...) I wouldn't be surprised if most of the machines run the same color for long periods of time, such that changing colors would only require normal maintenance cleaning of the (...)
