I've seen metal rims before look at (URL) is a machenist and had these made in his shop 18 months ago! Looks like they owe Jon a free set ;) As for different colored bricks the gray train wheel covers is a 2 min job in photo shop as is the green (...) (25 years ago, 31-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

My latest dream: I walk into a Target and naturally head towards the Lego aisle. Only thing is, there isn't *a* Lego aisle. There are four of them. I didn't want to bury this thread under lugnet.parts.... so I put it in lugnet.general... We all have Lego parts that we really like..... But what parts don't you like at all.... what parts do you really dislike? (Yes I know it sounds like Lego (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.general)

  Trip to LEGOLAND California - Kind of long!
 
On September 9th and 11th I visited LEGOLAND California with my son and my dad. We had a great time and I tooks lots of pictures with my new Olymous D490 digital camera.   Women's Soccer Team
 
I received a couple of Women's Soccer Teams, courtesy of my Canadian sister-in-law yesterday. The set has a nice selection of faces and hair (blonde female hair - I'll be finally able to build minifig ABBA). My daughter, Hazel, was impressed with a (...) Without excitement, I received my gray train with tendor the other day, built it, and gasped at its ugliness. This is the best Lego can produce?   Mostly negative review of #3827 Adventures on Bikini Bottom
 
I will start with the positive things first: The mini-figs of all the characters are very well done. In particular, the Patrick mini-fig, with it's non-fixed, turnable head is the stand-out. "Me too". I bought 8455 from Shop at Home a few weeks ago and I had a lot of fun building it. It took me a little while to acclimatise myself to the new construction method with an almost complete lack of conventional bricks. I think it's a bit like (...)
