Hi, I don't know much about trains, so I hope someone can help me. On Mother's Day, *I* got a gift from the parents -- a box of lego they picked up at yard sale for $2. It looks like very old trains (per Pause: perhaps part of set 113?). Let me list (...) (25 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains)

  Trevor the steam traction engine

Now that the Thomas Weekend event at LEGOLAND CA is over, thought I'd start posting images of my engines and cars. First up is Trevor the steam traction engine from the Thomas and Friends railway series. It uses old style wheels. With almost the (...) (19 years ago, 29-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX) !!

  Parts wanted

Hi. I'm after some relatively rare older parts: *2 6x28 black wagonplates (will consider trading 1 gray for 1 black) *1 pair of red train doors, preferably with 7755 stickers, optimally with DB 7755 stickers (and yes, I know how rare these are!!) *1 (...) (...) Ah--now I get it. And I guess it's true; a bunch of people in ot.clones have lamented the over-specialization of elements in the Dragons line. Heck(1), I myself have griped about the difficulty of LDraw-rendering all of those faux wood-grain (...) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Hi Everyone - I'm a long-time lurker, first-time poster. My name is Paul. I'm 32 years old and live in the San Francisco Bay area. I'm a graphic designer by trade, recently married, and I love Lego. By now my story is a familiar one - I packed up (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.people, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: gender changers?

(...) well, an ugly solution would be to use 1x1 Plates w/ Horiz. Side Loop. This causes some problems, though, because the cylindrical part between the opposing studs on the loop won't match the smooth face of the bricks you'll be connecting. (...) (26 years ago, 12-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

  X-Large Train Station MOC

Hi all, Inspired by Mark's amazing Union Station, I decided my town needed a large train station too. I've been working on it for a few days now, and it is taking shape.   Re: New Panel Fairings?

(...) I think it's because I always think things should be "closed up". If I was say building a truck and putting fairings on the side I'd build it from bricks and plates so it would be rectangular, you' can't do that with the old fairings. (17 years ago, 20-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)
