  5580 extra pieces

Hi all, recently found a 5580 and built it straight away. There seem to be quite a few extra pieces. I've looked at the pictures for the second model (too ugly to waste any time building it) and it doesn't seem to need them. I'm used to getting a (...)   Re: Train Trade

(...) Michael, I have one of those...and I can get my hands on it quickly, as it isn't in storage yet. I'd be interested in old-style lamposts (mostly Bellville and Mickey sets), trans-yellow 2x4 light bricks and grey 2x2x5 girders from 3313, and (...)   Shopping Anecdote and Suggestions (Long)

Dear Lego, Some evesdropping from the Lego aisle at a Walmart in Northern Virginia last night. A father in his 40s was with his son about 10 or 11. The son wanted to buy a Roborider set. The father was discouraging him. Father: You don't collect (...) (24 years ago, 8-Mar-01, to lugnet.lego.direct) !!

  Lego lights?

When I was a little kid I got a kit for adding electric lights to my creations. It consisted of two little yellow 2x2 bricks with a 4.5VDC light bulb shining out the front, and the old 4.5V type of electrical connector on the back. I got tired of (...)   Late 1980s Space auction

Hello there, I'm cleaning out my parents' house and selling off some of my old space-themed sets- Futuron, Space Police I, and M-Tron. All sets are in good condition, although they lack the boxes.   Re: One more scanned ad from 1961 uploaded

Thanks for the info Tore. I have your website in my website bookmarks. I really love the Swedish advertisements. There are 2 different Town Plan layouts that I can add to the USA/Canada, UK, and German Town Plan layouts. I think that there are about (...) (24 years ago, 9-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Screen Savers

I hate downloading official screensavers like those because they are always plastered with annoying logos and things which I don't really care for. I especially hate sound in screesavers. I would love to see something simple, like a big 3D brick (...) (24 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.fun)

  Re: TLG and "Seeding"

(...) I agree with the explanation too. Have you noticed how a lot of kids jumped on the K'nex system, but not Lego's own Znap? The big difference was that K'nex colour-coded the function of each element. There were no duplications of the same piece (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.starwars)

(...) Um, according to my instructions, 378 has exactly one standard 2x4 brick. It also has a 1x2 brick, a 1x2 tile, a 2x2 brick, a printed 1x2 brick, 2 2x4 plates, a 1x1 cylinder, 2 4x8 plates, and a 2x8 plate for "basic" bricks and plates. (...) (...)   strange piece

Re: Nearly 30 Years of Juniorization!

I want to add my two cents in here. 1st off...the set in question uses standard 4X2 bricks, a steering wheel, and the shovel assembly, some wheels. Yes, it does have the style of today's juniorization. A lot of the sets in the mid to late 70's (...) (24 years ago, 17-Mar-01, to lugnet.general)
