Re: Set #10021 has been spotted at Shop at Home!

(...) That's what *all* LEGO models looked like in "the old days". Kids were encouraged to build great models with a much more limited array of bricks. (...) As Hop-frog said, it's a re-release of a classic old set. And I wouldn't hesitate to buy (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jun-02, to lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.general)

Re: the evolution of lego sorting

Re: New Look for old trains

This has got to be the most impressive MOC collection of trains in the world, James. You are one prolific dude, dude:-) I like the way you end on 8 wides-- kind of implies an evolution of sorts! <g,d,r> Speaking of the 8 wides, regarding the euro (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Cobi/Best-Lock

(...) Old Timers may recall the flap back in '99 over the (URL) LEGODEATH> image originally crafted by "Froggy." A brief (400+ post) thread on RTL can be read (URL), if you're interested. I can't remember what became of that whole issue, but clearly (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jan-07, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Re: how odd!!!!

Well, whatever else they are, they look like they are quite old. I don't think that the molds for the 2 x 4 bricks have the injection points on the ends like that any more. I can remember when I was a kid, those points ( dots, really) annoyed me (...) (21 years ago, 19-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: studless construction practice

(...) Kind of a newbie question: Is there a trend toward studless in more than just Mindstorms? If so, is the thought that it is mostly because of expiring patents or are there other reasons. If we're going to look for studless practice, are there (...) (19 years ago, 14-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Blashemy? - Repairing LEGO Bricks?

(...) <snip> (...) I'm curious as to where the Ambroid Proweld and or Tenax 7R might be obtained. In the recent past, I've used basically what Eric used, ABS/PVC MEK, which is not much of a solvent (plastic melter, plastic combiner), but more of a (...)   Re: Color Change - Final Update

(snip) This is a fairly radical opinion, I guess, but I'm not convinced that the 9V track is one of the "key" pieces to keep in production in old dark grey. I know it's different but frankly, this is an area where reality DOES vary. Railroads (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

  Re: A fan no more

(...) Not true. I've been collecting since the days of the maxifigs and non-articulated minifigs. Yes, I've found a new degree of freedom in the BIONICLE series that wasn't present before, but I do still build with basic bricks. I've just never done (...)   LEGO Rare Parts
