I'm curious as to where the Ambroid Proweld and or Tenax 7R might be
obtained. In the recent past, I've used basically what Eric used, ABS/PVC
MEK, which is not much of a solvent (plastic melter, plastic combiner), but
more of a binding agent. The only reason I've used this is because I had on
good advice (A particular Lego Outlet store uses MEK for repairs of their
fixtures) that this the best thing to use.
I've not let my construction experiance to be focused on strictly Lego, but
have done a variety of polystyrene (sp) models, using a solvent that binds
(combines) when evaporated. (BTW, this makes for some wonderful effects,
because you can mold/bend extrude polystyrene when in this state.)
Using this solvent on ABS though has met with horifying results, especially
when trying to repair some of my old worn and broken pieces.
Anyway, I'm sure I like others would be interested in obtaining either of
these if a possible source was known.
Thanks in advance.
