  TL2 Roman Army

I've started a page for my TL2 Roman Army. So far it only has a legionary and a shield wall. I have a bunch of other stuff with stats to add when I construct them and take pictures: gladius, pilium, and standard bearer (troopers, simpler versions of (...)   My first boxcar

Here's my first finished attempt at any sort of rolling stock for a train. I wanted a six-wide boxcar with working doors. I managed to keep the doors 1 plate thick by using 1x1 - 1x1 brackets on the back. The brackets stick out from the plate just (...) (21 years ago, 26-Mar-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.

(...) Thanks! (...) That's a great idea. I was toying with the idea of building a custom display case for it but getting an existing one would be much easier. Your 'long narrow shelf up high on the wall' comment triggered another possibility that I (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Great Hall

(...) Ben, this is an excellent build. I'd have to agree with Marc that the castle wall with no windows is plain, i think at least one would have been fun. I do enjoy the plaster walls - something I'd never do b/c of the piece usage, but it is cool (...) (21 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

(...) Excellent detailing throughout! You also made very good use of the rock-patterned wall panels- just enough to add some variation but not overwhelming. I think you missed the "could be a set" goal for this particular alphabet project model, but (...) (21 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

I really like this one too. I especially like the curved wall and the way you did the roof (I'm going to borrow that design idea sometime). The two-level effect is very cool, too. Bruce (21 years ago, 6-Apr-04, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

  Re: RIS 3.0

Here's an off-the-wall proposal: I wonder where Lego's financial problems would be with some hypothetical RCX 3.0 ? * Would it be in designing the hardware? * Writing new software? * Retooling costs? If it's in either of the first two, I wonder (...) (21 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.robotics)
