  Re: rtlToronto10 competition rules

(...) Hi Ivan, As everyone else said, welcome! About your colour concerns, I completely agree. I am going to use white 2x4 bricks for the walls on a grey baseplate, and black for the blocks. This is all i have access to. I don't even have enough (...) (23 years ago, 12-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Apart from the fact Rebecca the Nice Waitress (who is probably the only person at Mel's who realizes we advertise going here once a month) wasn't there, I was so happy to see (...)   Re: medieval warships

A wood chuck could chuck two to eleven pounds of wood, if a woodchuck could chuck its own weight. According to a Wall Street Journal article, Richard Thomas, a wildlife expert from New York, estimated that a woodchuck moves about 700 pounds of dirt (...)   Re: Confusion - Any thoughts?

(...) Well...it varies at the border. Somedays are cool, others are a pain. I would have to declare stuff and fill out paperwork for display items. I will have to think about it. It would be cool to build a fusion power station again, and possibly (...) (23 years ago, 14-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

OT WTB train regulator power adaptor

OK, so this is off topic. AND I'm sure if I was a good little lugnetter I'd post this in several more appropriate groups. BUT I'm not. :) does anyone in the Greater Toronto Area have (for sale) just the wall wart lego train power thingy?? And if so, (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: 1.0 firmware and remote -- for Jeff W

Thanks Chris... So I then wonder how they (LEGO) disabled the remote on the wall climber. Some one suggested a different firmware but I do not believe that that is possible since the code only took seconds to upload for each program.... Jeff VW (...)   Re: Is this bad design?

I suspect it's due to the way that plastic parts are made. They have to have a draft, or an angle on all vertical walls, in order for them to be removed from the mold. Over small distances, or when reinforced in a 3-d structure, this draft doesn't (...) (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.general)

Re: 1.0 firmware and remote -- for Jeff W

(...) Well one way you can disable emote control, and block all other communications for that matter, is by making the RCX constantly send out messages. A simple line of code like this – while(true){sendmessage(0);} is ought to do the trick. (...) (23 years ago, 18-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
