  RE: Battery Status

I have quite a few battery discharge curves lying around, and one thing I can tell you is that they are all different. Generally they start at a high voltage, quickly discharge to a normal operating voltage, hold that voltage for a majority of (...) (25 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Sharp Ir and Eltec 442 Pyro detector

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone of you could help me. I'm trying to connect a hacked version of a Sharp GP1U58Y Ir detector(hacked so it is now analog instead of digital) to the HB so as I could use it for Ir Proximity sensing or distance (...) (...) The box is sound, light & air proof. In fact, the material used is impervious to any Electromagnetic radiation. Otherwise, the first particle/photon that it emitted and that would happen to collide with either the observer, or cause something (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jan-99, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

As part of my masters research I need to collect images of the leaves of the plant that I study for later image analysis.   5206 timer

In the instructions of 8238, there are details of the new 5206 timer set. It is a small device with LCD display linked to a rotation sensor by a piece of wire. The instructions show how to fit it to the back axle of one of the dragsters. It would (...) (25 years ago, 18-Dec-99, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Rush: "Lego is a Tool for 4 year olds"

It's simple. Rush is very conservative. Conservatives in general do not like the artistic or creative elements of society, which is what LEGO products encourage. Conservatives in general also do not favor innovations in education, (of which this (...) (25 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: clearance on side of tracks

My rule of thumb is to attach 2x3 bricks to the inside of a curve's ties and make sure that the building comes no closer than that (i.e., the building is always 2 studs away from the inside curve.) The outside may require even more clearance, but I (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jun-01, to lugnet.org.us.nclug)
