Re: (MOC) Ogel's Ministry of the Brick

(...) Thanks for the compliments. (...) This was an experiment with a higher resolution camera, and correspondingly higher image sizes (twice as big as normal). I was hoping that net bandwidth and server load on BrickShelf might have increased (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jun-03, to lugnet.town)

(MOC) Ogel's Ministry of the Brick

Where Brooklyn at? (Was: racial politics, black pack, etc.)

(...) Sorry Y'all, I can't agree that this Lando's "instantly recognizable." I doubt that any of us would be quick to make such an assumption if we saw the same incarnation of him alone in another setting, or in a context without a written key. I'd (...)   Re: LUGOLA Meeting - 6/7/03 - Altadena, Ca.

Great Info! Thanks for posting this. BTW - Did you get the LUGOLA email list for an announcement to that (for people who don't track the LUGOLA news group)? I'll be bringing my travel agency and a new building to be announced. I would like to have (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.org.us.lugola)

Re: Motorizing the pneumatics of set 8455 (Technic Back-hoe Loader)

(...) Hi Brad, I'm a *huge* fan fo the 8455 set. Not only is the completed model a thing of beauty, it is a phenominal deal when it comes to the amount of pneumatic parts it has. My first one was a gift from a good friend so I built the model (...) (21 years ago, 12-Sep-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)

Re: Did Bricklink make Lego bulk sales irrelevent?

(...) Expanded isn't really something to expect at this point. As Brad has mentioned several times, they're limited to a certain amount of SKU's they can use, so there likely won't ever be a selection of 500 different pieces, all available in bulk (...) (...) I'm not sure I understand what the SKU issue is. I know that in the recent BrickFest keynote, Brad J. mentioned something about an SKU shortage... Why would there be a limit on SKUs? Answering my own question, I suppose it has to due with the (...) (21 years ago, 10-Sep-03, to lugnet.market.theory)

(...) I have a Block Party, but my wife has a Primo. I'll start asking about discounts on LEGO bricks as well. It seemed stupid that they didn't discount LEGO purchases.   Re: Disneyland's Haunted Mansion ala LEGO (Was Re: New MOC: Teaser...)

Very nice! I like how you compressed a fairly complex building down to one baseplate and still managed to preserve the style of the building. I have considered building Disney rides and buildings as well, but just haven't gotten around to it. Brad (21 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.disney, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch)

Great Finds at LegoLand CA Pick-A-Brick

I just got back from LegoLand CA and found a lot of nice pieces. The prices is $6.99 per 1/4 pound, which is quite expensive, if you can find the bricks in a parts pack or on BrickLink, but a few bricks seem worth the price (see below). You might (...)
