Hi Brad,
I'm a *huge* fan fo the 8455 set. Not only is the completed model a thing of
beauty, it is a phenominal deal when it comes to the amount of pneumatic parts
it has. My first one was a gift from a good friend so I built the model
(normally I just buy sets and part them out.) I'm into buying an even number of
sets (so that you always have an even number of part types), so I bought
another. Then when I was at Brickfest I bought two more...... now where are
those designs for a pneumatic computer......?
Nice detailed description of motorizing the pneumatics.
I'm into making self actuating pneumatic designs (primarily bipeds and
caterpillar like things so far). I've always got a bunch of ideas bopping
around in my head. I've been working on a pneumatic biped using only parts from
one 8455 set. I want to do a number of alternate models for the 8455. It is
difficult because its taken a while to figure out geometries, where the pistons
can control switches given the parts provided.
Nice job on the automation and description.
Kevin
