Re: 20 (yes TWENTY) new trains at LEGO.com/Shop - Themes | Trains

(...) Well, Shays, Heislers, and Climaxes have been used for mining also. Certainly the bulk of Shays served in the woods, but I think at least some served in the South West. I must admit that "geared loco" jumped into my mind quickly when I saw the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Apr-01, to lugnet.trains)

2x2 tile mosaic possibilities (was: Re: Lego Direct Parts Selection)

(...) Hmmm...According to (URL), there are currently 3 colors of 2x2 tiles being offered for US$6.99/100 -- black, white, and red. That's not much, but it's enough to do a three-tone mosaic. If somebody had US$1000 to blow on 2x2 tiles, they could (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.build)

Well, it's working again today. Of course, one of the pics is of an unmodified 7745... I wish LEGO knew more about its own history....then things like this wouldn't happen...or maybe they would :( -- Thomas Main main@appstate.edu (...) (24 years ago, 23-May-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Trainiacs can rejoice

(...) Ya know, as I dug through shop.lego.com, I realized that they probably just mean you can spend $1,000,000 buying separate bulk train packs and THEN build your own train. THAT makes more sense than something similar to the Mosaic. Matt (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

What's all the fuss about? They don't look great to me. They look like those kiddy rides you find in theme parks to me. A steam train should have cilinders, pushrods etcetera.
