  Re: Multiplexing Input Circuit

A simple RC circuit will work for the reset. In your code, make the first time you turn on power to the sensor delay a little longer, and the delays between subsequent readings short. I was discussing this with a co-worker, and the possibilities of (...) (26 years ago, 13-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

Just curious, and since you seem to have some information handy, where is the line between firmware and microcode drawn? Or is microcode also considered firmware? -Paul (...) (26 years ago, 30-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

Pardon me for butting in on this thread, but hasn't Markus written a new operating system that doesn't use the Lego firmware? Isn't he operating against the chip? As long as Markus didn't copy the firmware, his operating system should be able to (...) (26 years ago, 30-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

  RCX firmware size?

Did anyone know the size of the firmware (firm0309.lgo) once downloaded in the RCX? The file size says 45 kbytes, but the display on the RCX shows 1700. these two numbers do not match, which one is the correct one? and is 1700 expressed in byte? (...) (26 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Hey, how's your ping pong ball shooter working? I've spent so much time monkeying with the firmware I haven't actually built many robots. I did stop by the local toy store and pick up a few extra sets for spare parts though. They were having a 20% (...) (26 years ago, 20-Nov-98, to lugnet.robotics)

I don't know about firmdl, but there's a firmware download utility as part of the rcxutil package for nqcc.
