Did anyone know the size of the firmware
(firm0309.lgo)
once downloaded in the RCX?
The file size says 45 kbytes, but the display
on the RCX shows 1700. these two numbers do
not match, which one is the correct one?
and is 1700 expressed in byte?
Also, the alternative is the LegOS firmware.
Again, does anyone knows its size? (in byte,
once downloaded)
Thanks.
Denis.

| (...) Each increment up to 1700 or so is 10 bytes. The firmware binary image is exactly 16K counting the zero padding at the end. If you use firmdl.c, you don't send the zero bytes at the end, and you end up downloading around 15.5K. I don't know (...) (26 years ago, 7-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
