Re: text location for apps and q?

Hello, (...) No they don't have a separate address space. I think the limit is 19456 bytes for the kernel, and this is caused by a limitation of the ROM, which is used to download the firmware (kernel). It loads it to the address range 8000-cc00. (...)   Re: Announcing LegWay, Finally

First off.......WOW!!!! This is the first RCX project to make my eyes bulge from my head. Steve you have done an incredible job. I once tried in a vain attempt to use the Lego light sensor and NQC to solve an inverted pendulum problem, programming (...) (22 years ago, 17-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics)

Retry count too small for nqc linux usb driver

Hi Thomas, I just found that the retry count for EAGAIN in RCX_USBTowerPipe_linux::Write() was too small (10) for handling the large packets used in firmware downloading. It ran out of retries middle way in sending the continue downloading command (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Op-code question

(...) There are lots of different data sources in the rcx... 0 - variables 1 - timers 2 - constants 4 - random numbers etc. A lot of opcodes have arguments that are coded as source/value pairs. In this case, if you want to specify the argument as a (...) (23 years ago, 12-May-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Interactive C Version 4 is available for free download

(...) I started playing with this on the RCX last night. Is there a README somewhere on the RCX-specific aspects of the firmware? eg I noticed analog() isn't supported to read raw sensor readings, although digital() works to read passive touch (...)   The rarest colour in LEGO - grey on a NXT?

It seems some people thought I wasn't serious. A monochrome display is just black or white, isn't it? (2 URLs) And in case you're wondering, I can tell you that the foreground scenery does lazily scroll past the logo, in parallax with the background (...)   RE: NXT What Programming Languages + Open source?

There are currently two alternative programming solutions for the NXT. NBC is a assembly language programming solution that is incorporated as part of the BricxCC development environment. It is open source. It uses the standard NXT firmware. See (...) (18 years ago, 1-Nov-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Shutdown/Off while program running crashes BrickOS

I have a big and somewhat complicated BrickOS program that I believe is reasonably well behaved.
