R: Che cosa usate per programmare l'RCX?!?

Ciao Mauro, (...) Io addirittura facevo fatica a fare anche le cose più semplici :-( Poveri bimbi, se veramente dovessero usare quel software. Forse per loro sarà anche semplice ma, per chi ha già programmato, è davvero assurdo. (...) C (...) quindi (...) (24 years ago, 21-Dec-00, to lugnet.loc.it)

  Newbie questions

Hello! I've just gotten an RIS 1.5 set for Christmas, and was wondering what sort of drive would be best to use for my first major robot (I've completed all those in the constructopedia). Also, what do you recommend to do program-wise? Should I (...) (24 years ago, 25-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  LeJOS

Is there any documentation on classes for the LeJOS? How do I write a program that accesses all the motors, senors, etc? Is it worth the trouble to replace the firmware? (24 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

  Re: Newbie questions

(...) It really depends on what you want your robot to do. A robot that needs raw speed over smooth ground will probably want some nice wide, grippy wheels - but a robot that needs to run on rougher terrain might need larger wheels. If you need (...) (24 years ago, 26-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: NQC 2.2 and RcxCC

Add this statement to your Autoexec.bat SET NQC_OPTIONS=-Trcx2 This is for Win 95 or 98. This makes NQC react to Version 2 of the firmware as NQC checks these options before compiling the program. That makes RcxCC happy. -- Bob Fay California, USA (...) (24 years ago, 28-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  RCX games.

Someone asked about games requiring 2 RCX's - I don't have one - but here is my humble submission of a game for *one* RCX that's a lot of fun for the children. Extending it to work with two RCX's (or in my case, an RCX and 3 scouts) will be left as (...) (24 years ago, 27-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: MacNQC and RCX Troubles

Thanks to everyone who helped out with my problem, it's much appreciated! The problem was not having the firmware loaded, which I was able to download to the RCX using the latest version of MacNQC. I had an earlier version of MacNQC which wasn't (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

(...) Thanks for the clarification. So... am I correct to assume that there is some portion of the RCX firmware that is not accessable for update/replacement? This would be the portion that describes/controls the 'built-in functions? Thanks again, (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Vision Command Questions

Hello, I have a few questions about Vision Command. 1. I'm a little confused about how the camera interfaces with the RCX. Does the camera just send data to the PC and then the PC sends commands to the RCX via the infrared tower? 2. Do you have to (...) (24 years ago, 31-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics.vc)

Re: Power inlet to RCX 1.5?

I have a power supply that gives 9.3 volts and can give 130mA. Just 3 questions - 1) Presumably the RCX can take 9.3 volts? It's not much over 9V... (Sound of frying RCX) 2) 130mA. Is that enough?
