| | Re: Shell Promotional Sets - Autumn 1999
|
| It is intersting to note that Shell and TLG have had a promotional "relationship" since 1966, when Shell superceded Esso as the "gas station of choice" for Lego Town system. That year set #325 (one of my all time favorite sets!) Shell Station came (...) (25 years ago, 5-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

| (...) Wow, thanks for the praise Jeff ...... (swelled head now going back to its' former size) .... one thing that the Deja News item doesn't cover is the sets that some of these windows come in. As to the 1x4x2, it came in a lot of different sets. (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

| (...) Hey Mark, you are correct!! Set 725 - Town Plan (the later 1962-64 version) had over 100 clear bricks, in brick sizes 1x1, 1x2, 1x6, 1x8, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 and 2x2 quarter circle (macaroni). No clear plates or slopes in this set. Keep those clear (...) (25 years ago, 5-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

| Thanks Scott. Are you trying out SAHBO as a new acronym (Shop At Home Bulk Orders)? Well I don't know if it will do any good, but I do know that Peter Eio will read the letter.
