| | Very Rare Find: European Dealer Windows Box.
|
| I'm reprinting this article from RTL from Mike Poindexter, as well as my reply. Gary Istok (...) Mike, Congratulations on your rare find of the Dealer Windows & Doors box. You are now experiencing what I experienced from 1979-92 whenever I travelled (...) (25 years ago, 29-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: LEGO Bloopers and Practical Jokes
|
| (...) I discovered a major blooper back in the 1980's. Set 517 (the smallest of the basic sets back in the early 1980's) had 3 variations of the same set. Supposedly this set had (2) 1x2x2 yellow windows, and (2) 1x4x3 yellow frames (with red (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

| (...) Well, I'm off on another tangent..... Oooooh, I just love corner extreme slopes. They are great for Mansard roofs. I have some in red, white, yellow and black, not sure where the white or black ones came from (I got them on the secondary (...) (25 years ago, 29-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: EBAY insanity!
|
| (...) Damn, I was hoping it was $15,000 for 18,000 pieces. That way I could have sold (on eBay) my new red Gothic Cathedral (20,000 pieces) for $17,000! (Oh sure, just because 70% of the pieces are 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 and 1x4 red bricks, that shouldn't (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

| Mike, I believe (and I'm not certain here) that there were 2 different Town Plan board road layouts. One, the earlier 1950's board has a little square in front of the main town block. Here is a picture of it from a 1958 catalog on Horst Lehner's (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Idea: How starting to work for a unique Lego piece naming convention?
|
| (...) For a lot of basic bricks, plates, tiles, etc, we seem to do OK. But other areas we seem to have trouble with the piece names. One area in particular that I've seen some problems are sloped brick peaks or apex bricks. Let's start there. Do we (...) |
| (...) Hey how about those of us who identifiy with a warehouse?! Count me in! I'm now working on my 3rd 20 pound box of mish-mash miscellaneous parts that I'll never use. Can I cheat and load up the box going out? I know I've got some stuff other (...) (25 years ago, 6-Jul-99, to lugnet.general)

| Thanks guys, you're much too kind. What I do is for the love of the brick. Scott was the first AFOL that I had ever met, since my internet access started exactly one year ago this week (on RTL). | | Re: Clone bricks in auctions

| Unfortunately, that is one of the dilemmas of dealing on eBay (I'm not badmouthing it, cuz I bid on eBay frequently myself). However, frequently the sellers are not very Lego knowledgeable (although there is no excuse for marbles). Being an (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.general)
