  Re: January 2000 S@H catalog

(...) Hmmm, I just looked at this box at KMART yesterday. In French it says: "Coeur de Leon" which translates to "Lion Hearted", which would make it Richard I the Lion Hearted (1189-1199) King of England and the Angevin lands of France (Brittany, (...) Since I was the one that brought up the question about whether TLC no war toy policy was possibly based on WWII and the Nazis overrunning Denmark, I wasn't asking for any explanations from the family. (...) Just back from the Holiday grind....... When the early bricks came out in 1949-52 they had the slots on the sides, and no tubes underneath. They were not called LEGO until 1953. OK OK OK, you twisted my arm..... That would be about 2900 sets and approximately 500,000 pieces. Windows and doors - about 6000, of which 4000 are from the classic era (from before 1978). I never took a complete inventory, but I did do some (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

More LEGO Direct Questions: The 2001 Anniversary

Hello Brad (& Co.), I have a question for the future. 2001 will be an anniversary of sorts.... 40 years of LEGO in the USA.
