Well it’s my lunch break so it thought I would introduce my Sunday afternoon project the Fighting Iron-top Monsoon : (URL) I know this strays fairly far into the realm of phantasy.   Re: AFOL/Mindstorms stagnation (Was Re: FLL not allowing NQC)

(...) I have worked on this aspect specifically, augmenting tires and working out how to build strong structures so that my current effort is as big or bigger than any other competitor in the club.   Re: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed

(...) 1) As several people have pointed out, Lego *do* (somewhat indirectly) 'sell' NQC by providing it on CD-ROM in one of their books and as a CD sold via Pittsco-Dacta. 2) We can use Dell computers because Lego don't make computers. Why can't we (...) (20 years ago, 11-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) The difference is a really bright line. All of the examples you quote are to do with non-standard things ending up inside the robot. NQC DOESN'T end up inside the robot. Using NQC instead of RIS is no different from using a pocketknife to (...) (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Comments wanted: Plans for easier parts authoring

As some of you might have seen, I have been doing some programming lately to convert various 3D file formats to DAT format. This resulted in the MAX2DAT converter, which is useful but does not handle primitives, and is limited to the file formats (...) (20 years ago, 5-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)
