  Re: The Gothic Cathedral

(...) Hi Gary, Do you have any better photos of this? It is almost impossible to see the details of the cathedral and I would very much like to as they all look very interesting. The crossribbing in the two top towers in this pic ((URL)) looks (...) (19 years ago, 14-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.arch, FTX)

Re: My humble opinion about LDraw animation

Hi James, whew - this is getting to be a big mail, but I will try and answer in situ... (...) I suppose I consider it part of the concept, so then I, or others can build what I built, although given the original LDraw file, some may be able to work (...)   F40PH-2 MOC

Over the last couple of months I've been playing with a virtual MOC of the F40 PH-2. I usually like to build the real thing first then do an LDRAW version later. This avoids inadvertant impossible brick configurations and the resulting rendered (...) (19 years ago, 9-Sep-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Overview of LEGO Factory suggestions

(...) Hundreds of dollars is what it should cost. What it would actually cost under the current LF system, even if the parts were available at all, would probably be thousands of dollars. I'm seeing about a factor of 25 waste here on realistic (...) (19 years ago, 30-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Overview of LEGO Factory suggestions

OK, we've all had some time to play with LF and the new LDD now. I think it's time to try and compose a clear, well-thought-ought "dear LEGO" letter explaining whatever seems to be in the way of this being a successful program. It may be that LEGO (...)   Re: Custom Created Set Reference

(...) Hmm, an interesting topic... One could get a good inventory by noticing that John Doe happens to have brought set GOB-1234 to Brickfest and then disassemble it to count the parts.   LEGO Factory impressions

Well, I've built my first LDD model (a Railroad Crossing sign) and uploaded it to LEGO.com. Some initial impressions: 1. LDD is very frustrating if you're trying to do anything even slightly nonstandard with the parts. In my example, I want to (...) (19 years ago, 26-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX) !

  Re: LDD Help Needed

(...) Not that I know of. You can rotate the whole model and then use PgUp/PgDn to jiggle the piece you need to move - then rotate the whole thing back. Obviously, this is a pain when working with a model of any real size. (...) I'm not sure quite (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

(...) Good question. I'm of the build, photograph, and disassemble school of thought - most MOCs stay together for a few weeks and then get recylced back into the collection.
